Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store operations leader focused on delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence in our Michigan location. You will guide team members, mentor peers, and help execute daily tasks to meet service and sales goals.

You will also participate in scheduling, training, and ensuring product freshness and safety standards while promoting an inclusive environment for colleagues and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best shopping experience for customers, including checkout excellence.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of high-potential talent.
• Assist in department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product rotation and dating policies keep items fresh and compliant.
• Lead by example to uphold food safety standards and safe working practices.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays where applicable.
• Foster Meijer culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion in daily work.
