Job summary

Meijer is seeking a team-oriented associate to support day-to-day store operations in Wisconsin. You will lead by example, coach teammates, and ensure a remarkable checkout and shopping experience for customers.

You will mentor staff, assist with scheduling, handle trainings, and help maintain inventory accuracy while upholding Meijer’s safety and inclusion standards. This role emphasizes service excellence and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience and checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new teammates and cross-training of high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and store profitability.
• Monitor product freshness, rotation, and dating policies.
• Lead by example to ensure food safety and safe work practices.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays where applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture valuing diversity and teamwork.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to help meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments when required.
