Job summary

Safeway in Tacoma, WA seeks a Grocery Fourth Person to model outstanding customer service and lead the Front End during absences of store leadership. You will act as PIC, supervise staff at night or when managers are away, and ensure efficient checkout operations.

Primary duties include cashiering, assisting customers, stocking displays, and maintaining a safe environment. Prior clerk/manager experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Follow company customer service procedures.
• Demonstrated customer service experience.

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of all positions within the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service as defined by the employer within policy.
• Direct and supervise store personnel in absence of store management.
• Operate the cash register and handle payments.
• Replace stock in displays near the checkout area.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment.
• Assist other cashiers with equipment issues and basic office tasks.
• Assist in close of day functions and counting tills.
• Other duties as assigned.
