Job summary

Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused Bagger/Courtesy Clerk to deliver outstanding service at the checkout. You will greet customers, engage with them, and assist at the register while processing transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system.

You must handle various tender types and follow company policy. Maintain a safe, clean environment, follow loss prevention policies, and stay current with ads and promotions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, cards, SNAP/EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Follow policies on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Adhere to guidelines for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness; uphold food safety regulations.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers across the store.
• Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
