Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle various tenders per policy.
• Adhere to cash shortage/overage limits and control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist with product questions.
