• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets, engages and assists customers
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons)
• Follow company policy on cash handling, shortages/overages and loss prevention
• Adhere to guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers across departments
