Job summary

Chedraui USA Fontana is seeking a Checker at our Fontana, CA store. You will greet customers, process sales quickly and accurately, and operate the cash register in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The role requires the ability to stand, lift up to 60 pounds, and comply with store standards. Starting pay is $16.90 per hour; applicants must be 16 or 17 years old. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16–17 years old.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and coworkers.
• Apply common sense understanding to follow instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service in accordance with company standards.
• Process sales quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Perform cash register operations and safeguard company assets.
• Stand, bend, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds and perform other physical tasks required in a fast‑paced grocery environment.
