Job summary

El Super in La Puente is hiring a Checker to join the Store Operations Team. Starting rate $16.90 per hour, with opportunities to grow within the Chedraui USA family.

Under the Front End Supervisor, you will deliver outstanding customer service, process sales quickly and accurately, operate the cash register, and help safeguard store assets. You will lift up to 60 pounds occasionally in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations and safeguarding company assets.
• Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of times.
• The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, with physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling.
