Job summary

Chedraui USA is hiring for a Checker at the San Fernando store. You will join the El Super Store Operations Team on location at 315 San Fernando Mission Rd., San Fernando, CA 91340, performing cashier duties and assisting customers with a high level of service.

The role requires good reading/writing skills, basic PC/Outlook usage, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs as needed. Starting rate is $16.90 per hour with standard store hours.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information one-to-one and in small groups to customers, clients, and employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, maintain outstanding customer service per company standards.
• Process sales quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the cash register.
• Safeguard company assets; bend, stand, stoop for extended periods; lift/move items as needed.
