Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience within a multi-department operation.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal and ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude when interacting with customers.
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff with knowledge of personnel reports and sales metrics.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Food Safety certification and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Excellent organization and planning skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Must be able to lift and move items as described in the job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operations of multiple departments (Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, Beer/Wine).
• Ensure proper product handling, rotation for freshness, and date controls.
• Control costs, manage labor, reduce loss due to shrink and pilferage.
• Assist with store readiness for physical inventories and deliveries against invoices.
• Schedule staffing to maximize productivity and train team members through coaching.
• Recruit, hire and promote staff in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Lead and communicate standards and product knowledge to the team.
• Act as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed and supervise safety and compliance.
