Swift Transportation is seeking a detail‑oriented Operations Specialist to provide high‑level analytical support for driver development initiatives that boost safety and retention. You will evaluate driver satisfaction and turnover, help design training, and analyze retention data to guide terminal leadership decisions.

The role requires four years in trucking operations or safety, an Associate degree or equivalent, and strong Microsoft Office and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience in operations field and/or safety in trucking industry required.
• Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build consensus and influence others.
• Strong collaborative skills and interpersonal relationship development.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate driver satisfaction, retention and turnover; provide tools to improve retention.
• Develop training for driver safety with designated department personnel.
• Gather, analyze and interpret retention data to guide terminal leadership actions.
• Assess metrics to ensure continuous improvement in safety and retention.
• Develop strategies to foster a culture of positive driver support and retention.
• Review safety reports and implement changes to reduce losses; coach on safety policies.
• Provide guidance on local, state, and federal safety regulations and procedures.
• Counsel high risk drivers on safety aspects and act as decision-maker for corrective actions.
