Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Hillard, OH is seeking a Grocery Department Supervisor to plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations, serving as a mentor and coach to staff while driving customer service and store sales.

The role focuses on staffing, training, implementing the Meijer Friendly Initiative, maintaining store appearance, product presentation, safety, P&L accountability and timely, friendly service during peak hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce, deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members clearly and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach staff to meet service and sales goals.
• Staffing, hiring and scheduling to meet needs.
• Promote safe work environment and Meijer Friendly Initiative.
• Manage P&L, sales, and shrink for the department.
• Ensure training completion and product presentation meets standards.
