Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve root cause issues.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Ability to mentor and lead team members while promoting safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet sales and service goals.
• Maintain store appearance, product presentation and standards.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and operations.
• Enforce safe work environment and Meijer policies.
• Spend majority of time in-store assisting customers and team members.
