Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, Texas seeks a department manager to lead grocery operations. You will oversee staffing, training, and performance, while driving sales, inventory control, and quality standards across the department to meet Brookshire's standards and regulatory requirements.

You’ll manage scheduling, coaching, and day-to-day activities, ensuring excellent customer service and food safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Must be 18+; drivers must be 21+ for company business per policy.
• Food Handler cert, Manager Food Safety cert, AML, HIPAA where applicable.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certs required where applicable; Fuel Operator C training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train and develop partners; plan, assign and direct work.
• Review historical data to predict sales from ads and promotions; manage inventory.
• Maintain product quality, safety standards and store appearance; lead sales initiatives.
• Ensure safety procedures and customer service standards are met; supervise daily operations.
