Job summary

City Market is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to lead daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will direct and supervise all department duties, manage inventory and pricing, train associates, and participate in budgeting and financial reporting to optimize store performance while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Experience managing a grocery department or similar operation.
• Strong leadership and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all department functions and activities.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and enforce food safety rules.
• Train associates on inventory/stocking and CAO.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory; monitor stock and pricing.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf signs.
• Support budget, P&L reviews and cost control.
• Collaborate with store management to meet goals.
