Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Opelousas, LA is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead store department operations, optimize sales, and maintain product quality and displays in line with company standards and food-safety practices.

You will hire, train and develop team members, monitor inventory and financial data, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required with 2+ years of related experience or equivalent
• Food Handler certification required
• Manager Food Safety certification required
• AML certification required where applicable
• Fuel Operator C training required
• HIPAA certification required
• TABC/LACT/AATC certifications where applicable

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train and develop partners; plan, assign and direct work
• Review historical data to predict sales from ads and promotions
• Manage inventory and in-stock levels using item management processes
• Review P&L, sales, shrink and labor data and report to upper management
• Maintain product quality, safety standards and display integrity
• Open/close the store and ensure adequate staff and safety of cash assets
• Provide friendly customer service and address customer questions or complaints
