Job summary

H-E-B is seeking an Assistant Department Manager to help run daily department operations and deliver excellent customer service. You will assist with scheduling, performance appraisals, recruiting, ordering, inventory, and budget monitoring while upholding food safety and sanitation standards.

You will lead with guidance from the Department Manager, interact with Partners and Customers, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of internal ADM pathway as required.
• Ability to lead with supervision and guidance from Department Manager.
• Strong math and budgeting awareness for department operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Manager with scheduling, performance reviews, and interviews.
• Provide direction and feedback to Partners under supervision.
• Assist with ordering, inventory, and payroll/budget monitoring.
• Perform inspections to ensure productivity, quality, and sanitation.
• Stock, merchandize, and assist customers with product selection.
• Maintain high levels of customer service through example and SOPs.
