Job summary

Qualifications

• Any management experience.
• 1 year of grocery retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Report safety risks or issues and notify management of accidents.
• Train department associates on inventory/stocking and CAO.
• Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process.
• Schedule daily, weekly and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags.
• Maintain awareness of inventory conditions and note discrepancies.
• Assist store management with budgeting, profit and loss reviews, and financial reports.
• Monitor and control department expenses.
• Stay current with ads and implement the period promotional plan.
• Prepare seasonal critiques and create sales promotions with store management.
• Understand store layout, know products, and respond to questions.
• Adhere to local, state, federal laws and company guidelines.
• Train and develop associates and participate in performance reviews.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume and teamwork to meet goals.
• Communicate information to associates and supervise direct reports.
• Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.
• Provide support for interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
