Job summary

Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op Inc is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to oversee the Grocery department in the absence of the Grocery Manager. You will ensure accurate receiving, merchandising, and exceptional customer service while mentoring staff and upholding cooperative values.

The role focuses on department operations, vendor relations, and adherence to policies. A strong background in customer service and team leadership is required to help deliver a welcoming, efficient shopping

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in customer service.
• 2+ years’ experience purchasing, handling, or merchandising products.
• 1+ years' experience managing teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Uphold all Co-op policies and expectations.
• Ensure department operates effectively and efficiently; meet performance standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service and welcoming environment.
• Maintain vendor relations and ensure products meet standards.
• Assist in inventory counts and storewide cleaning.
• Coordinate breaks and labor as per policy.
