Good Foods Co-op is seeking an experienced Grocery Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced department in a community-owned natural foods store. You will supervise floor staff, manage freight, stocking, displays, and inventory while building a skilled, customer-focused team.

From scheduling and coaching to merchandising standards and food-safety compliance, you’ll drive daily operations and partner with purchasing to ensure product availability, strong service, and operational efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• 5 years grocery/retail operational experience.
• At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Understands grocery operations, freight processing, stocking procedures, and inventory management.
• Works effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on retail environment.
• Enjoys training, coaching, and developing employees.

Aufgaben

• Lead daily Grocery Department operations with floor staff.
• Coordinate freight receiving, processing, stocking, and backstock management.
• Set clear daily expectations for assignments, productivity, and stocking standards.
• Assist with scheduling, hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluations.
• Provide leadership, coaching, accountability, and staff development.
• Maintain shelves, displays, and storage areas; ensure proper rotation and cleanliness.
• Monitor freight workflows, stocking efficiency, labor utilization, and productivity.
• Support inventory counts, shrink reduction, and accurate practices.
• Maintain high merchandising standards, signage, and department presentation.
• Ensure proper product handling, food safety, and store procedures compliance.
• Assist with seasonal displays, promotions, and product placement.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to support availability and replenishment.
