Job summary

Food Lion in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Store Manager – Grocery Department to lead daily operations, hire and develop department staff, manage labor and scheduling, and drive sales while upholding Food Lion's guiding principles.

You will ensure safe, friendly shopping experiences, monitor inventory, control costs, and collaborate with store leadership to meet budgeted financial goals and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet physical requirements and pass training for food safety accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Grocery Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct ongoing reviews for direct reports.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to achieve productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote the Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Monitor inventory, shrink and conduct bi-annual physical inventory.
• Ensure department appearance, safety and sanitation are maintained.
• Coordinate scheduling, ordering, and use of business information systems.
