Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across roles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve service and sales.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet needs.
• Promote succession planning and identify development needs for staff.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and discharge when needed.
• Manage department P&L and control shrink and expenses.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and uphold Meijer standards.
• Ensure team is trained on all required procedures and policies.
• Maintain prime store appearance and product presentation.
• Foster a safe work environment and ensure reliable attendance.
