Albertsons Companies is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to lead daily operations of the Grocery Department, driving sales, in-stock conditions, pricing accuracy, and high merchandising standards. This hands-on leadership role focuses on customer service, team development, and ensuring a well‑organized, fully stocked department.

You will oversee staffing, training, and coaching, while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-service focus with a visible team presence.
• Ability to train, coach, and develop associates.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry products and work in coolers and freezers.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness.
• Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front‑faced, and merchandised to company standards.
• Execute planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising.
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization.
• Monitor shrink and implement procedures to reduce waste and loss.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards.
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment.
