Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers, including an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training for new team members and cross-training high-potential talent.
• Assist in department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team in food safety compliance and safe working practices.
• Lead tasks for ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays.
• Participate in period-end inventories and related store processes.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
