Qualifications

• Customer-focused service experience required or preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Retail or store experience is a plus.
• Ability to mentor peers and lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide an exceptional checkout and shopping experience.
• Communicate with team and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor teammates to meet service and sales goals and complete trainings.
• Assist training of new teammates and cross-train high-potential talent.
• Collaborate with leadership on scheduling to boost engagement and sales.
• Maintain product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Ensure food safety and safety compliance in daily operations.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays as needed.
• Foster Meijer culture with diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate register and handle cash as needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to help reach goals.
• May act as Lead in other departments as needed.
• Duties may vary and additional tasks may be assigned.
