Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, handling various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policy.
- Rotate merchandise according to code dating policies, check product quality, and review sell-by dates.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and making product suggestions.
- Stock, order, label, and inventory merchandise; report discrepancies to management.
- Adhere to cash handling, food safety, and legal guidelines, including temperature logs and safety procedures.
- Maintain physical requirements such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating equipment safely.
Qualifications
- Basic math skills and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to complete cashier training and memorize produce and sale items.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Experience
- Customer service and retail experience.
