Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Process customer transactions efficiently, accurately, and understand the Point of Sale system, handling various tenders according to company policy.
2. Rotate all merchandise according to code dating policies and check product quality for freshness.
3. Promote trust and respect among team members.
4. Create a welcoming environment by assisting and answering customer questions about products.
5. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
6. Greet, engage, and assist customers, informing them of specials.
7. Order, label, stock, and inventory merchandise, reporting discrepancies.
8. Adhere to cash handling limits, safety procedures, and food safety regulations.
9. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
10. Inspect equipment, report repairs, and notify management of accidents.
11. Follow all legal and company guidelines, and perform physical tasks as required.
12. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
13. Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors and seniors.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Basic math knowledge
• Ability to complete cashier training
• Memorize produce and sale items
• Effective communication skills
• Must be 18 or older

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service
• Retail experience
