Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to handle stressful situations

Responsibilities:

• Rotate all merchandise according to code dating policies and check product quality for freshness; review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Promote trust and respect among team members.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries, making suggestions when appropriate.
• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Order, label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering and shipping to management.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, understanding POS systems and handling various tenders.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, fireworks).
• Encourage teamwork among staff.
• Report pricing and shipping discrepancies to management.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with promotions and ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs.
• Follow safety procedures, inspect equipment, and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Report safety risks, illegal activities, and security issues.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting, pushing/pulling, bending, and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation.
