Job summary

Willow Valley Communities’ Marlin & Doris Thomas Memory Center is hiring friendly Grocery Clerks for a part-time role. You’ll help create welcoming experiences for Residents, families, and guests while supporting an innovative memory center that emphasizes person-directed care and joyful moments.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the shop, greeting customers, stocking shelves, processing transactions, operating the POS system, and maintaining a clean retail space.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• POS experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Positive, patient, and engaging personality.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the retail shop
• Greeting customers and creating a welcoming environment
• Answering questions and assisting customers with product selection
• Replenishing merchandise and stocking shelves
• Creating attractive product displays
• Maintaining electronic inventory records and labeling merchandise
• Processing sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and special orders
• Operating the POS system
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting retail space
• Monitoring the shop and following safety and security procedures
• Providing clerical support related to sales and inventory reporting
• Assisting with courtyard reservation processes
• Identifying Memory Center Residents for accurate billing procedures
• Handling customer concerns professionally and positively
• Performing other duties as assigned

We're looking for friendly, compassionate, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Grocery Clerks. In this role, you'll do much more than stock shelves and process transactions. You'll help create welcoming experiences for Residents, families, and guests while supporting an innovative environment that is changing the way dementia is viewed and experienced.

Position Details

Status: Part-Time Opportunities Available

Pay: $15.00/hour

Schedule:

• 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• 2-3 days/week
• Some holidays required

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Positive, patient, and engaging personality
