Willow Valley Communities' Culinary Services Supervisor leads the Culinary Services team at The Marlin and Doris Thomas Memory Center, ensuring outstanding dining experiences for Residents and Guests across dining venues. You will oversee dining room, dish room, and kitchen operations while driving food quality and service standards.

The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of related experience; it is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position located in Willow

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Experience in food service or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership across Culinary Services operations.
• Ensure prompt, courteous service for Residents and Guests according to Willow Valley standards.
• Coordinate team activities and work assignments, stepping into operational roles as needed.
• Address resident concerns and resolve service-related issues.
• Assist with planning of special functions and events and daily operations.
• Oversee compliance with Culinary Services policies and procedures and recommend improvements.
• Maintain records including meal counts, charges, activity reports, and food safety documentation.
• Schedule team members to align with operational needs and budget requirements; maintain timekeeping records.
• Inspect dining rooms and service stations for cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Manage requisitions for linens and dining room supplies.
• Conduct team meetings and communicate important operational information.
• Train team members to ensure Willow Valley service and quality standards are met.
• Follow HACCP plan and Food Safety policies and procedures.
• Use computer programs to complete reports and communications.
• Support purchasing activities, including ordering food and supplies, inventory oversight, data entry, receiving and storage.

Compensation

Starting at $23.00/hour, with additional compensation based on experience.

What You'll Do

As a Culinary Services Supervisor, you will provide leadership and operational support throughout Culinary Services. Responsibilities may include oversight of dining room, dish room, and kitchen operations.

• Ensuring prompt, courteous service for Residents and Guests in accordance with Willow Valley standards
• Coordinating team member activities and work assignments, while maintaining the ability to step into operational roles as needed
• Addressing resident concerns and resolving service-related issues
• Assisting with the coordination and planning of special functions and events, in addition to daily operations
• Overseeing compliance with Culinary Services policies and procedures and recommending improvements when appropriate
• Maintaining records including meal counts, charges, daily activity reports, and food safety documentation
• Scheduling team members to align with operational needs and budget requirements while maintaining timekeeping records
• Inspecting dining rooms and service stations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are met
• Managing requisitions for table linens and dining room supplies
• Conducting team meetings and communicating important operational information
• Training team members to ensure Willow Valley service and quality standards are consistently achieved
• Following Willow Valley's HACCP plan and Food Safety policies and procedures
• Using computer programs to complete reports and communications
• Supporting purchasing activities, including ordering food and supplies, inventory oversight, data entry, receiving, and storage procedures when assigned
