Job summary

Willow Valley Communities in Willow Street, PA, is seeking a friendly Bartender for our new Home Plate BBQ restaurant at the Marlin & Doris Thomas Memory Center. This part-time role offers 2–3 shifts per week, 3:00 PM–9:00 PM, with tips and competitive pay.

You’ll deliver warm beverage service, greet guests, mix cocktails, maintain a clean bar, and help create memorable experiences for Residents and families in a welcoming, hospitality-driven team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of bartending experience.
• Outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and taking beverage orders.
• Presenting drink menus and making recommendations.
• Mixing cocktails and beverages per company standards.
• Ensuring timely, accurate, and friendly service.
• Checking IDs for alcohol age requirements.
• Building relationships with guests and recognizing regulars.
• Following cash handling procedures.
• Maintaining a stocked, organized bar area.
• Serving snacks and light food items to bar guests.
• Preparing drink garnishes and sterilizing glassware.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

We’re seeking engaging, hospitality-driven individuals to join our team as Bartenders at our brand new BBQ restauraunt, Home Plate. More than serving beverages, you’ll help create memorable experiences in a welcoming environment where Residents, families, guests, and Team Members can gather, connect, and enjoy exceptional service.

Position Details

Schedule:

• Part-Time
• 2-3 days/week
• 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM (closing time varies based on business needs)
• Schedule could vary and may include:

Pay:

• $10.00-$12.50/hour, based on experience + tips

What You’ll Do

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service while creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere for our Residents and guests.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting guests and taking beverage orders
• Presenting drink menus, making recommendations, and answering questions about beverages
• Mixing cocktails and beverages according to company standards
• Ensuring timely, accurate, and friendly service
• Checking guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchases
• Building relationships with guests and recognizing regular patrons
• Following all cash handling procedures
• Maintaining a fully stocked and organized bar area
• Serving snacks and light food items to bar guests
• Preparing drink garnishes
• Washing and sterilizing glassware
• Demonstrating extensive knowledge of food, beverage, menu, and promotional offerings
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
• Performing other duties as assigned
