Job Responsibilities:

  • Inform customers about food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
  • Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
  • Provide customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise accurately.
  • Report discrepancies in product orders or shipments.
  • Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
  • Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs as required.
  • Develop product knowledge and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
  • Create a welcoming environment, making customers feel valued and appreciated.
  • Reinforce safety protocols, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs.
  • Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
  • Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction.
