Responsibilities include:
- Informing customers about food specials and recommending products to meet their needs.
- Checking product quality, ensuring freshness, and reviewing "sell by" dates.
- Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Staying updated on current and upcoming promotions.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
- Gaining product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
- Reporting accidents involving customers or employees.
- Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Managing conflicts professionally.
- Upholding honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
