Job Responsibilities:

• Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
• Check product quality, ensure freshness, and review "sell by" dates, taking appropriate action when needed.
• Provide customers with ordered products, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads, seasonal promotions, and special events.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
• Gain and maintain product knowledge, responding to questions and making suggestions.
• Create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and appreciated.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment issues.
• Report customer or employee accidents.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict professionally and cooperatively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
