Grocery Clerk (Finance)

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist customers with product inquiries and discovering new items.
  • Inform customers of specials and recommend products.
  • Check product quality and freshness, review "sell by" dates.
  • Provide customers with ordered grocery products.
  • Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
  • Report discrepancies to management.
  • Stay current with ads and promotions.
  • Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
  • Know products well to answer questions and make suggestions.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
  • Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
  • Notify management of accidents.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding business information.
  • Follow directions and seek help when needed.
  • Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Salary Range: $15.25 - $16.35.
