Responsibilities include:
- Informing customers of specials and recommending products to meet their needs.
- Checking product quality, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate actions.
- Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager.
- Staying updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures with logs.
- Gaining product knowledge to assist and suggest to customers.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
- Managing conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Supporting customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
