Grocery Clerk (Finance)

Responsibilities include:

• Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
• Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Provide customers with ordered groceries, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
• Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and special ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures, including logging.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers and answer questions.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report them.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report repairs needed.
• Report customer or employee accidents.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
