Job summary

Flow Grocer Attendant at Flow is the neighborhood store role blending groceries and coffee, serving drinks, and guiding customers with thoughtful recommendations. It requires warmth, strong people skills, and the ability to connect with shoppers in a busy setting.

Shifts run 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. with variety across guest experience, coffee station, and store operations. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in café/retail, can handle POS payments, and align with Flow's sourcing standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in café, barista, food and beverage, hospitality, or retail.
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate and HPC.
• Strong selling ability and promotions come easy.
• Excellent communication in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in an upscale craft coffee environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers with product recommendations.
• Craft and serve coffee, beverages, and pastries.
• Process orders and payments in the POS quickly and accurately.
• Stock and face store areas and monitor inventory.

About the Role

Flow Grocer is our neighborhood store for thoughtfully sourcedgroceries, unsprayed produce, local breads, and non-toxic homegoods, and it's also where we serve coffee. Our Grocer & Café Attendant owns both sides of this space: crafting beverages andmaking great grocery recommendations, all in one place. We'relooking for someone who sells with warmth, connects easily withpeople, and makes every visit feel worth coming back for. Rotating
shifts between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Sales:

• Greet and engage customers, making confident product
  recommendations across grocery and coffee offerings


• Promote products, beverages, and Flow merchandise naturally and
  warmly


• Embody Flow's brand values and clean sourcing philosophy in every
  interaction

Coffee Station:

• Craft and serve drip coffee, espresso drinks, tea, smoothies, and
  specialty beverages


• Prepare and serve seasonal small plates and pastries


• Process all orders and payments in the POS system with speed and
  accuracy

Grocer Operations:

• Stock and face all areas of the store — produce, merchandisers, and
  retail shelving


• Monitor inventory across both spaces and replenish in a timely
  manner


• Pack pickup and delivery orders with care; maintain a clean,
  organized store


• Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed

Ideal Background:

• 2+ years in café, barista, food and beverage, hospitality, or retail


• Natural at selling — product recommendations and promotions
  come easy


• Strong communicator who stays calm and focused in a fast-paced
  environment


• Curious about what we carry and the people we serve


• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation; valid Food Handler'sCertificate and HPC (Required)


• Experience in an upscale craft coffee environment


• Background in new store openings or culture building
