Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Texas Fort Worth is seeking an experienced grinder operator to set up and run internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production and tool work.

The role requires the ability to select speeds, feeds, and wheels, set up fixtures, maintain tolerances, and perform precise grinding across various forms, including threads and contours. Experience with multiple grinder types is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of production grinding experience or equivalent technical education.
• Experience operating multiple grinder types (internal, centerless, surface, external, thread, universal).
• Ability to set up truing devices for thread grinding and to select speeds, feeds and wheels.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production and tool work.
• Select speeds, feeds and wheels; hold required tolerances and use firm fixtures or blocks.
• Maintain precise setups and be capable of multi-type grinding tasks; note tenure cap of two years.

Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types of grinders. Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours, and threads. Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads. Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels. Holds work for required tolerances. Setups are exacting, usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests or blocks. Will not be retained in this position longer than two (2) years.
