Job summary

Orbia Advance Corporation is seeking personnel for a plant-floor role in Texas. You will monitor product and equipment parameters to ensure quality, perform minor repairs, document dimensions and weights, and coordinate tooling changes with safety and teamwork at the core of daily operations.

The role involves indoor plant-floor work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and shifts with a 12-hour cadence. Excellent benefits and growth opportunities across Orbia's global family are provided.

Qualifications

• Attendance on scheduled workdays is a must.
• Must wear PPE including gloves, eye protection, steel-toe boots; dust mask, earplugs, hard hats, face shields as necessary.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle pipe coils.
• Work mostly indoors on plant floor with heat, dust and noise; some weather exposure.
• Remain standing 80–100% of the time with occasional squatting or bending.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor product and equipment parameters to meet quality requirements.
• Conduct minor repairs and report major problems to production leadership.
• Accurately document ground product dimensions and track weights.
• Coordinate tooling changes and assist with scrap material separation.
• Perform cleanup in the grinding area, including waste disposal.
• Perform all work cautiously, with safety of yourself and fellow team members at the top of mind always.
• You will help to maintain a safe space for your team to share feedback and ideas for improvements.

Requirements:

• Your commitment to being a reliable and punctual team player. (Attendance on scheduled workdays is a must!)
• Your commitment to wearing gloves, eye protection, and steel toe boots always, and dust mask, earplugs, hard hats, and face shields as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workspace.
• Your ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as the ability to push and pull pipe coils.
• Your ability to work most of the time indoors on the plant floor, with heat, dust, and noise and work some of the time outdoors in any weather condition.
• Your ability to remain in a stationary, standing position 80-100% of the time. Must be able to squat, bend, or stoop as much as 25% of the time on some days.

The compensation for this position is included above. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
