Job summary

Orbia Connectivity Solutions Dura-Line in Gainesville, TX is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain resin systems, perform repairs, and support extrusion equipment. You will assist during breakdowns and implement tooling changes as needed.

The role requires 3–4 years in mechanical maintenance, strong tool proficiency, and basic electrical skills. Starting wage is $25/hour with bonuses and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to perform simple math and take measurements.
• Read and comprehend work instructions and safety documents.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of power transmission equipment, bearings, gears, sprockets, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and pumps.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools including wrenches, torches, volt meters, drill press, and band saw.
• Some electrical ability is preferred.
• Familiarity with plumbing and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resin systems, vacuum loaders, and clean filters, making necessary repairs.
• Ensure upkeep of equipment such as tape feeders, spiral units, extruders, vacuum tanks, pullers, reelers, air and water systems.
• Provide assistance to all departments during breakdowns.
• Perform tooling changes for the extrusion department as required by order changes.
• Utilize a volt meter to check and replace fuses, motor starters, relays, pumps, motors, and troubleshoot circuits.
• Assist the maintenance crew in equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety requirements for the position.

Key Responsibilities: RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain resin systems, vacuum loaders, and clean filters, making necessary repairs.

Requirements: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.

• Ability to perform simple math and take measurements, understanding basic tool use.
• Capability to read and comprehend work instructions and safety documents.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of power transmission equipment, including bearings, gears, sprockets, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and pumps.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools required for the position, including wrenches, torches, volt meters, drill press, and band saw.
• Some electrical ability is preferred.
• Familiarity with plumbing.
• Good knowledge of state and local safety codes.

The compensation for this position is included above. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
