Job description

Join to apply for the Grill/Fry Cook role at Local Favorite Restaurants.

Job Purpose:

To share the love of our brands by cooking and assembling dishes according to brand standards and uphold the restaurant’s high quality standards while actively contributing to the operation each and every shift.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using kitchen equipment according to brand recipes.
  2. Maintain sufficient food stock levels based on sales rate to ensure smooth service.
  3. Portion food items prior to cooking according to standard sizes and recipes.
  4. Keep work stations clean and sanitary, including all kitchen equipment and surfaces.
  5. Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
  6. Handle, store, label, and rotate products properly.
  7. Assist in food prep during off-peak times as needed.
  8. Close the kitchen following the closing checklist and assist others in closing.
  9. Understand safe food and equipment handling procedures.
  10. Report unsafe conditions or issues to management.
  11. Ensure cleanliness and organization of dishes, cookware, and supplies.
  12. Work effectively as part of a team and assist in restaurant upkeep.
  13. Complete assigned side work, setup, and closing duties.
  14. Follow food safety and restaurant safety protocols for guests and team members.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Food Handler in respective state.
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, loud environments for extended periods.
  • Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Safely lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work cooperatively with team members.
