Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee is seeking a Part-Time Cook II to prepare meats, fish, and sauces at an assigned station while upholding top food safety and presentation standards.

Responsibilities include station setup, advance prep, daily cleanliness, and ensuring portions meet recipes. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years cooking experience and can obtain required sanitation certifications. Union guidelines may apply after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; culinary program preferred.
• 1–2 years of cooking experience in a similar role required.
• Ability to obtain sanitation certifications.
• Adherence to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all station-specific food items according to recipes and guest requests.
• Visually inspect and select items ideal for preparation.
• Check storage and monitor portion sizes to ensure quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with Health Department regulations.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and in good condition.
• Prepare requisitions and use math to ensure recipe accuracy.
• Maintain high quality of food production and presentation.
• Practice cleanliness and personal hygiene at all times.
• Set up station, perform advance prep, and break down at end of service.
• Store and organize all food requisitioned from storeroom.
