Job description

We are hiring immediately for a full-time GRILL COOK position.

Location: Fed Ex Indy - 6648 South Perimeter Road, Indianapolis, IN 46241. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Thursday and Saturday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; more details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous grill cook experience is required.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Prepare food and serve customers at the grill station, ensuring high-quality food service following applicable standards and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Take orders and prepare items requiring short preparation; complete orders from steam tables and serve at multiple stations.
• Serve customers efficiently and friendly, ensuring food quality, temperature, and presentation standards are met. Taste all prepared food.
• Use established procedures for ticket collection and record keeping during service.
• Follow recipes and standards for quality, serving temperature, and portion control.
• Transport food safely between workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Store foods properly, following safety and rotation procedures.
• Maintain sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Resolve customer concerns and report relevant issues to supervisors.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Perform duties safely and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
