Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and presence during scheduled hours to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and set up the grill station daily, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper equipment.
  • Receive and review food orders, prepare, season, and marinate ingredients following recipes and customer preferences.
  • Operate and monitor the grill to maintain proper cooking temperatures and timing, adjusting as necessary.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, handle and store food properly, and keep the work area hygienic.
  • Check grilled items for quality, taste, and temperature; address concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff for timely preparation and delivery of food items, ensuring effective communication.
  • Monitor inventory levels, notify management when supplies are low.
  • Report equipment issues or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications

Two or more years of recent experience as a Grill Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service environment. Profound knowledge of grilling techniques, temperatures, and food safety standards.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Food Handler’s License or equivalent; completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.

Other Skills and Abilities

Familiarity with various grills, equipment, and tools; ability to follow recipes and presentation standards accurately.

Physical Demands

Perform physical activities such as walking, climbing, crouching, bending, reaching, pushing, kneeling, and standing for long periods. Lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible work hours with additional hours as needed.

Work Environment

Work in confined kitchen spaces with slippery floors, high noise levels, strong odors, and temperature fluctuations due to ovens and refrigeration.

Compensation and Benefits

$26.00 per hour based on experience. Full benefits include health coverage, life insurance, disability, 401(k) with match, PTO, transportation, gym membership, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts.
