Job summary

Creative Dining Services on site at Northwood University in Midland, MI is looking for a passionate Grill Cook to join the campus culinary team. This full-time, on-site role offers hourly pay between $15.50 and $17.50 with 30–40 hours per week during the Fall and Winter/Spring semesters.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare delicious food items by following established recipes and menus, ensuring each dish shines in freshness, quality, and visual appeal.
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment at all times.
• If work shift requires, properly open and/or close the kitchen – unlocking/locking doors & secured areas, and turning on/turning off of all equipment essential to the operation
• Support other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and campus partners

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of culinary experience
• ServSafe Certification Preferred
