Job summary

Kaleida Health's Buffalo General Medical Center is seeking a part-time Food Service worker in the BGMC Food and Nutrition department to prepare and serve cafeteria meals to patients and customers, following established nutrition, food safety and sanitation procedures.

The role includes required sanitation duties, on-site shifts with weekend/holiday coverage, and experience in food service preferred with an emphasis on quality and safety in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in food service institutional setting preferred.
• Restaurant experience may be accepted within the same time frame.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cafeteria food to patients and customers according to established procedures.
• Perform required sanitation duties throughout the department.
• Handle food preparation including short order grilling, roast carving, and display cooking.

Education And Credentials

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

One year experience in food service institutional setting preferred. Restaurant experience may be accepted with in the same time frame.
