1898 & Co. is seeking an Analyst to support grid system and OT integration engagements for electric utility clients.

This entry‑level role builds expertise in grid operations, utility systems, and enterprise/OT implementations while working with consultants and architects. You will assist with configuration, testing, data validation, and documentation across grid modernization programs, with opportunities to participate in client meetings and workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, business, CS or MIS or related field.
• Applicable years of experience may substitute the degree requirement.
• 2–5 years of experience preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge in implementation technologies, principles and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem‑solving environment.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office).
• Basic computer skills in implementation software and technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Citizenship/work authorization for the country of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support technical consulting and implementation activities related to grid and OT systems.
• Assist with configuration, testing, and deployment of grid management systems (SCADA/OMS/DMS/ADMS/DERMS).
• Support advanced distribution applications including power flow, state estimation, FLISR, VVO, and DER integration.
• Perform data validation and basic analysis to ensure operational accuracy.
• Contribute to system testing and commissioning under senior guidance.
• Assist with data collection, process documentation, and technical notes.
• Develop project documentation, test results, user guides, and training materials.
• Troubleshoot issues and support root cause analysis.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and working sessions.
• Support project execution with task tracking, coordination, and status updates.
