Job summary

AVA Energy in Austin, TX, seeks a skilled electrical engineer to support generator interconnection activities across ISOs/RTOs, prepare models, and coordinate with engineering teams on power system studies.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
5+ years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, or generator interconnection.
Experience using PSSE.
Experience supporting generator interconnection activities in MISO and/or PJM.
Knowledge of power flow and dynamic studies for generation projects.

Responsibilities

Support generator interconnection activities across multiple ISOs/RTOs.
Prepare technical models and supporting engineering documentation.
Coordinate with engineering teams and external consultants on power system studies.
Review study results and support technical responses throughout the interconnection process.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on project development and design updates.
