Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Chicago, IL is seeking an Engineer I Interconnections & Grid Analysis to perform power flow analyses and interconnection studies for generation projects. You will review transmission plans and support development in PJM/NYISO/ISONE while aiding in regulatory input and bid strategy.

The role requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 0-2+ years in transmission planning; experience with PSS/E and VBA is a plus. On-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with focus on power systems.
• 0-2+ years of experience in transmission planning, compliance and operations.
• FERC/NERC standards related to transmission and interconnections familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform power flow analysis and market-related evaluations for generation and transmission development.
• Review interconnection studies and queue reforms with regulatory input.
• Develop conceptual designs for interconnection facilities and collectives (34.5kV to 230kV).
• Coordinate with asset managers and consultants for system models and reliability studies.
